Potsdam Meeting 2019

PRO RETINA Germany will hold the 14th International Research Colloquium on Retinal Degeneration. Aim of the meeting is to stimulate an interdisciplinary dialogue addressing the expectations for current and future therapies in inherited retinal dystrophies. Three plenary sessions center on molecular diagnostics and gene therapy in retinal dystrophies, on retina chip technology and optogenetic approaches and finally on cell substitution for restoring visual function.
On Saturday, 23.03.2018 (09:00 - 09:25 am) a lecture by Dr. med.  Katarina Stingl (Tubingen) on "State of the Art and Expectations of Retina Chips" will give insights on retinal implants for retinitis pigmentosa. After that speaks Dr. Daniel Rathbun of Henry Ford Health Systems, Detroit on: "Form vision: How good can retina chips actually get" (09:25 - 09:50).

Patient Day Retinitis Pigmentosa in Basel

Retina Suisse will organize a patient information day on Retintis pigmentosa on June 15th 2019. In the context of a course of lectures, affected and interested can receive detailed information on the disease, current research and treatment options, such as the subretinal implant. There is also the opportunity to talk to therapy users and clinical experts. In addition, there is the possibility to exchange information at the information stands during the breaks, directly with manufacturers and associations.
